Finally got to watch Best in Show tonight

Joe had been urging me to see it for a few years

Oddly, throughout the broadcast on Comedy Central,

There were commercials for High Fidelity,

Another film that Joe had once insisted I see

Immediately after the movie

I started watching the tape of

This week's new episode of The Dead Zone,

The third season premiere, called "The Storm,"

About a freak severe weather front

Following the psychic hero, Johnny Smith

Midway through, a couple in an RV

Pick up the hitchhiking duo of

Johnny and his sidekick Bruce

Both members of this couple rang bells ---

The husband was played by Robert Picardo,

Formerly the doctor on Star Trek: Voyager,

And the wife looked uncannily like

One of the actresses in Best in Show

There had been this tall blonde woman with short hair

Who played the handler for a large poodle

And had a fairly important role

Mixed with many familiar comedians

Though I didn't recognize her

Doing a little research, it turns out that

This is indeed the same actress, Jane Lynch

One other note ---

It"s only been a few hours since

The events recorded in December's Children,

So there seems to be a bit of a sudden squall

Of coincidental activity moving in

After a considerable hiatus
