Freaky Fractal Sequence

I've just begun working on my current music project again today,

Extracting songs I like from CD's with no songs I really like

In preparation for a massive trade-in or auction of these CD's

The first CD today is by Botanica

And features music based on fractals

This might be the only CD I have

That is related to fractals

After the CD was loaded

A few seconds of the first track played

Before I selected the songs to be ripped

And the playback cut off

Those few seconds were a sequence of notes

Made of pure electronic tones

Forming no pattern but not unpleasant

As I sat back to wait for the five tracks to be ripped

I picked up the novel I'm reading,

Otherland volume 2 --- River of Blue Fire,

To pick up where I left off

The first sentence I read,

Totally unrelated to anything preceding it,

Certainly got my attention,

Coming just moments after hearing the fractal music,

As it began with:

"It was a melodic sequence of chiming tones

That spawned fractal sub-sequences..."
