Yesterday morning

I was typing in

Among other things,

About adventures with Catherine,

While Barb the housekeeper

Was cleaning the condo

When I went to make out Barb's check

I remembered that from now on

I should use Barb's new last name

Instead of "Galinac"

I asked her what it was

And she spelled it out: R-H-O-D-E-S

We all know what happened

When Catherine spelled out her last name

This morning I noticed

A picture on the front page

Of the sports section

It was of a player

Who I'd never heard of before,

Karl "Tuffy" Rhodes

It seems he'd hit home runs

His first three times up yesterday,

The first time anyone

Had ever done that

On opening day
