Bullseye
I'd spent several hours yesterday
Experimenting with
Texture variations
For my recent fractals
And had hit on one motif
That I especially liked
Featuring an array of
Touching concentric rings
With small squares in the
Spaces between them
I picked up Paula
So we could catch a matinee
And happened to notice
A paper towel
On her living room table
With an astonishing motif
She told me she had left it there
After eating earlier
But didnt ever do that
And didnt know why she had
Here's one of the images I had done before leaving for Paula's:

And here's a scan of the paper towel:
I had written this document
Up to this point as of last night
Complete with its title
Tonight I attended the monthly "Gathering"
At the San Diego Art Institute,
Where artists show their work
And receive comments
One painting had three areas,
A nude woman,
Half of a guitar body,
And a series of concentric rings,
The latter of which
The artist called a "bullseye"
Later in the event,
Referring to something else,
Jim Respess also
Used the term "bullseye"
Another curious thread
Bridges these events
And those chronicled in
Statute of Limitations
An unfamiliar woman
Sat down next to me
At this Gathering
And as the bullseye was hit
I mentioned to her
How odd this all was
We became friends that night
And got together again
Three evenings later
Pamela's an artist and art teacher
And mentioned that she's in
The San Dieguito Art Guild
They have a co-op gallery
Featuring the various members' work
I asked her where it is
And the answer raised my eyebrow:
The Pannikin in Leucadia
